Why gk

philosophy

We believe fine jewelry should be worn, enjoyed, and collected. Jewelry should be part of life—not something reserved for a special occasion or admired from a distance. Our designs are created to be beautiful enough to cherish, yet wearable enough to become part of daily life. Our jewelry carries the DNA of fine jewelry—timeless design, enduring quality, durability, and elegance. Over time, individual pieces become more than jewelry; they become part of a collection and part of the lives of the people who wear them.

made in america

Made in America means more to us than where our jewelry is produced. It gives us the ability to control the quality and craftsmanship of what we make, remain accountable for every piece, and stay close to the independent jewelers we serve. It also allows us to respond to their needs with a level of accessibility and personal attention that can be difficult to achieve when manufacturing is thousands of miles away.

Craftsmanship
We control how our jewelry is made in our own factory and hold ourselves accountable for the result.

Quality
Being at the point of production allows us to maintain a level of attention that begins with the initial design concept and continues through the finished jewelry.

Accountability
We know what we make, how we make it, and stand behind what leaves our hands.

Accessibility
Our retailers can reach the people who make the jewelry and work with them to solve problems and respond to opportunities.

Personalization
Because we manufacture here, we can personalize a piece for an individual client and deliver it quickly.

Partnership

The Independent jewelers deserve a manufacturing partner whose success is measured by theirs. We believe the strongest relationships are built over time, through trust, accessibility, and a genuine understanding of the businesses we serve. We don’t simply want to sell you jewelry; we want to become a partner who understands your store, respects your experience, and is committed to building a relationship that benefits both of us.

Relationship

We believe the best business relationships begin with understanding one another. We take the time to learn about your store, your customers, your market, and what you want to accomplish. You know your business better than anyone; our role is to bring our experience, products, and perspective to the conversation and let you decide what makes sense for your store.

Loyalty

We value the relationships we build and believe loyalty should work both ways. When a retailer has trusted Goldman Kolber with their business, we take that commitment seriously. We protect established relationships and carefully consider new opportunities so that our growth does not come at the expense of the retailers who helped build our business.

Consumer Partnership

Our website is designed to introduce consumers to Goldman Kolber, not compete with the retailers who represent us. When a consumer purchases directly from us, we work to connect that opportunity with an independent Goldman Kolber retailer in their area whenever possible. We will share the sale and information with the closest retailer within 60 miles, or with an existing GK retailer of their choice specified on their order.

Fit

We believe Goldman Kolber is best represented by retailers who understand and appreciate the design, quality, and character of our jewelry. For that reason, we take the time to understand each prospective partner and consider whether our collections are a good fit for their store, their customers, and their market. We want to build the right relationships and add value to every store we partner with.

Commitment

Our commitment continues beyond the initial sale. We provide the tools and support our retail partners need to present, sell, and grow their Goldman Kolber business—from training and display support to merchandising guidance, stock-balancing protection, and advertising content for any media. When a store needs something more specific, our marketing manager, Jessica, is available to work with you on custom marketing support.

heritage

For more than a century, Goldman Kolber has evolved with jewelry while remaining grounded in a principle passed from one generation to the next. For me, that principle can be expressed simply: make something special, make it stand out, and make it better than anyone else who tries. What began with my great uncle’s generation in antique-inspired diamond jewelry became a foundation for my own approach to design and innovation. Through each new category, I’ve sought not simply to participate in a market, but to bring something distinctive to it—designs with their own character, purpose, and lasting appeal.

Experience

Experience has taught us that good design evolves by building on what came before. Our journey from antique-inspired jewelry to today’s collections has been connected by an enduring interest in color, collecting, and the way individual pieces can become part of something larger. Slides brought the sensibility of antique jewelry into a new form, introducing color and the idea of creating a unique bracelet from collectible elements. Caerleon expanded that thinking into an interchangeable collection of rings, bracelets, pendants, and earrings. Milanese Mesh then carried those ideas into the contemporary designer jewelry world, bringing a historic jewelry technique into a modern expression of mixed precious metals, color, and diamonds.

Collections

The collections that followed continued that evolution, bringing together the elements we had learned to work with—color, diamonds, mixed precious metals, collectability, and distinctive design. Today’s Signature collections carry those ideas into the world of stackable bracelets, creating a contemporary expression while retaining the timeless design sensibility that has always been part of our heritage.

Legacy

The true measure of a jewelry heritage is not simply what is created, but what is kept and carried forward. We hear from people who have inherited Goldman Kolber jewelry from parents and grandparents, often wanting to learn more about the pieces they now own and, sometimes, to add to the collections they have inherited. We have even been sent photographs of trademarks on pieces dating to the 1920s. One such discovery revealed a Goldman, Kolber & Witgren mark documented in a 1922 jewelry-mark reference—an early chapter of our own history that had disappeared from our institutional memory. These connections remind us that jewelry can become more than something we make; it can become part of a family’s history. Sometimes our customers even help us rediscover our own.

Testimonials

Goldman Kolber has been a wonderful partner for Cooper Fine Jewelers. Their stackable bracelets are beautifully made, and our customers love the ability to mix diamonds and colored gemstones to create a look that feels uniquely their own.

What makes Goldman Kolber especially meaningful to us, though, is the relationship behind the jewelry. David is wonderful to work with and truly understands the importance of quality, service, and supporting independent jewelers. We are proud to carry Goldman Kolber and confidently recommend their beautiful designs.”
